Cold Steel q264_6.bsp 2-8 players Another remake from the n64 version of Quake 2. The original version has a slightly different texture set so I had to replace two of them. Both were just simple details. All of the major themes were the same textures. I had to replace 2 items. I replaced the BFG with a megahealth and the invisibility with a yellow armor. (since that powerup obviously doesn't exist in the pc version) This is a very simple figure 8 that flows in a circle mostly. There are essentially two sides to the map that balance very well with the 2 replaced items. The original made for a great 4 player DM since running in circles and chasing your opponent was a major part of the n64 deathmatch experience. This translate VERY well for duels. Play tested it today with teo and had an absolute blast! zeliepa.com/dna/files/q264/q264_6.zip

I still have N64 games and loved playing Quake 2...even though it was only Quake 2 in name and not much else (completely different game and story line).
Have you considered rebuilding any Doom 64 levels? It's only single player, but I had started building a SP level from that game years ago and never got around to finishing it. Doom 64 is still one of my favorite shooters of all time.

Doom64 was indeed a great game. I've done some wad editing but not enough to competently make that campaign. Also I'm not sure where my doom64 cartridge is. I think it got borrowed and never returned.

Hmm...flew away like a Cacodemon you say? > Fortunately, they run for about $15 in classic game stores and aren't too hard to find. I'd love to see it in the Q2 engine...or even remade for Doom 3.
