New Map: wdrail03 - Shinto Shrine

I made another insta-gib map over the holidays, and I finished tuning it in last night. It's pretty simple, and the r_speeds are the most reasonable that I've managed to produce, to date.
I think it came out lookin pretty decent regardless of the simplicity, and it should be a good rail arena.

It seems that Quark didn't "prepare" those textures into the tmpquark directory for some reason.... odd.

if I may be *hopefully* critically constructive or was that constructively critical ../ neways - since I run/admin q2 servers in a linux box & utilise R1Q2 both server side & clientside I have 2 basic asks:

1) please on behalf of linux users globally - name you folders/subfolders in lower case in future please.

2) on behalf of R1Q2 users dont leave files outside folders as the client has a hissy fit along the lines of warning such n such isnt in a directory etc etc

other than that pair of minimal critiques from me you definately get a thumbs up m8 ... wd again

WOW.. nice map WD..
but, think the map would be better with 2 hallways between the main rooms.. so easy to get stuck in the stairs..
would also be better if you split the stairs so you could go up both to the left AND to the right.. instead of just left like it is now..
if you see what I mean..
atleast that's what I think...

Play the map using the ChaosDM mod, it has a sword

Whirlingdervish: I forgot to mention in my original post that I'm getting a rather large flood of missing texture notices when loading this map. Condump as follows:


Downloading textures/1awd/wizwood1_3.wal
Server does not have this file.
...
GL_FindImage: can't load textures/1awd/wizwood1_3.wal
...


EDIT: I was able to find the texture online, so the map loads properly now.

lol, yeah I noticed that with the last one I released... It would seriously flood your console with "texture conc2.wal not in a directory!" upon loading...


EDIT: that was another one of the misplaced textures..
I fixed the zip, so anyone that downloaded this prior to 4:30pm Pacific Time on 1/9/07 should grab it again...

WD: that was the zip I downloaded, and downloaded it again just a few moments ago to be sure... huh, this time it does seem to have the texture I was missing. That's odd. Oh well, at least it's there now!
