When checking r_speeds, I have a spot in my map that gets up to a 1300 but only in one area. Most of my map is from around 650 to 1100.
Do you guys think this 1300 area is too high for just one spot in the map?
Also, what do you think is a normal range?

the average r_speed in a map should be below 1000, so much is sure.
you can allow it go up to 1500 - 1800 in some hot spots, but not much more. and only in few spots, not in the whole map.

1300 is fine... I'd go so far as to say 1500 is fine BUT only in a spot or two. My goal is to always keep them below 1200 for a high mark and down as low as possible for the low mark.
I think that 2500 for Dm is rediculous, timing and performance are everything in Dm. Now foe SP. I see no problems with higher speeds here and there.

O.K. Good advice guys! In most of my rooms, I'm from 650 to 950 and in a few spots it hits around 1200-1300. So I guess I'm o.k.
