Negative:
Black jump pads look stretched.
Steel grating floor should be half size, the pattern looks too large.
The lighting seems kind of dull, maybe add some colored lights somewhere or maybe neon trim on the floor. Something to spice it up a bit.
The intermission spot is in a bad spot.
The lights on the bottom floor seems too bright, maybe bring it down a little.
Positive:
Weapon layout is good.
The construction of the map is great.
Jump-pads work for me in this map.
Glass floors are well done.

nice map Jester!!... cant find the black, stretched jump pad texture that Le Ray was talking about though!... the black jump pads i saw was great!!! well, i got one negative little thing.. if you dont have any speed on the jumping pads for the health_small and the Armor_shard, you'll be standing there jumping from one to the other.... maybe you made it this way.. i dunno..

You would not have TIME to get the health on a "busy" night on the server Eh?..... Layout of a QuakeII map also should include _ how fast you think the games may be...
LostHallways - you can get lost trying to catch up to the other players in the map .... and say WareHouse... sorta the same way... but a bit more open... games go a bit more quicker.... and the Edge... way more open... games go very quick...

I like the look of this map. I don't think I'd ever play it on a server, but it feels... nice. I found in a few spots I got stuck on the incline/decline (this was on the walkways), maybe you could add a few clip brushes.
Other than that, I love how the map looks.

my most profound apologies Jester I got caught up in the "busyness" of life here for a few days *totally slipped my mind* slap me badly if you like .. really sorry mate -I found black pads yes indeed & they looked dead sexy to me maybe its the testure pak I use dunno but I did a noclip all around/over & under the map & I like the look of the thing - lighting & etc as LeRay mentioned sure but that comes to individual preferances doesnt it, I liked it with me tired old peepers - I didnt find speed a requirement to get across or around the map at all it was easy to navigate - I spose also seeing as how we have a few space maps in the ffa server here that this map slips straight in alongside the longest 3 feet conversion tltf & bfgarena2 & brutalo for example .... fast paced space maps with a view to go hard or die fast type gameplay the players here appear to like, especially when the servers crowded - it's just manic paced & great fun when the playes have a fair attitude for a few laughs. so yes Jester indeed I looked for a few faults but also as I mentioned the custom texture pak I use is possibly why I didnt see those pads as LeRay did, all is good & with your permission I'll float it in a server here for a while & see what response/feedback I get..? thank you for the map, myself I like it hard & fast, I also like it spread out making you hunt to kill all said its Q2 & that equates to fun so for my 2 bob mate.. thank you & keep em coming heya if it makes that much difference I'll rename the texture pak & have a look in the raw Q2 format .. actually sounds the g o mmmmm brb

hahahaha maybe LeRay is using a dodgy texture pak still looks good to me, the steel floor is indeed a large checkerplate looking pattern but hey I got some pretty large checkerplat on the back of my truck to nah I like it & if thats the beta .... whats the changes to go to the release??

Thanks for all the comments, positive and negative. Nice to get some feedback. Not many changes will be made to the map other than some clip brushes thrown in on the walkways and maybe resizing the floor texture, and of course adding some sounds. Just wanted to make sure the jump pads work all right and the game play is there. I also like the hard and fast action that can be found here. Only thing I am not sure about in the BFG. As the map is right now the only way to get it is with hook so either I take it out or put in a jump or tele to get to it. Not sure what to do there.

I found an easy solution to that jump mate rocket jump off one of the inbound pads - gets ya anywhere you wanna go ( harsh on health though ;D )

Very nice map Jester! You could maybe just add one spawn point to the BF Gun area. That way, you just have to be lucky to get it. Anyway, thanks for letting us test it for you, looking forward to the finished map.
