Hello, StroggDM lovers!
Alright, SkiesOfBordom brought something up to me today. It does have the stroggos, but the Quake1 monsters have been left out!
Now, if we add the Quake1 monsters, we have to change the name, as the Q1 monsters are not Stroggos. I was thinking of "MonsterDM - Give your race a taste of their own medicine!"
Any ideas? Suggestions? Comments? - Jon

well, I think no. it's too much of it. the Quake 1 monsters should be a mod of their own, if anything. and their models are rather no-poly than low-poly, they look really completeyl trashy.

Yes, but, as everyone would agree with me, graphics don't count. (And no they wouldn't, I have Quake2-palette versions of the models ) Gameplay is the main factor. Just that, StroggDM was supposed to get you to be able to play and feel the Stroggos, in Quake2. It would balence gameplay a tiny bit if the monsters from Q1 were in. Does anyone know if they are Stroggos? I haven't read up on them :S EDIT: Aparently, they're just weird monsters that came from oblivion. Not Stroggos. -Paril

actually, the Quake 1 monsters are of the type "uninspired Doom ripoff" it was iD's first big self-ripoff and anticipated the mega-self-sellout of Quake 3 Arena.

ok my 3 Cents ... lol.. first... q1 stuf SHOULD be in a sep mod. since they are not monsters. sec. ....the generations mod was incomplete; we can grab most of the stuff from there; since only the source code is left. third... becareful of copyright laws. dont get ID to shut u down

Generations sucked, and probably would of if ID didn't shut them down. SOG had the right idea though.
And the Q1 guys are monsters [ahem]Shug Naggurath[/ahem].
It would change names because the Q1 guys aren't stroggos. They are just generic monsters..
EDIT: You can still find the files online, FilePlanet has them.

keep the stroggs seperate is my 2 bobs worth, maybe save the monsters for an updated version later on after this one has proven itself, sort of like hey thank you for playing this mod, here have another addon .. keep up the good work paril *thumbs up*

ID doesn't care about Quake1 anymore.. they don't even know about my site WHO?, thanks for your opinion. It's either keeping it StroggDM or change it now; I will not be making another mod with Quake1 units, as it's a waste of time. Last chance; now, or never.
