Does anyone know if it's possible to create a rotating brush that is horizontal? I can create vertical rotating brushes, but I tried to create one that was horizontal and I couldn't get it to work. I'm wondering if it can be done? What I mean by horizontal, for example, if you were to create a ceiling fan...this is what I'm having a problem with. I've made many maps with rotating brushes (example:leray34), but they've always been vertical.

Assuming that you're still using the Wolrd's A#1 boootay-kicking editor Tread 1.12 and I understand exactly what you're describing...all's you need to do is as follows... 1 - Gimme and email addy and I'll send you an example .map/.trd 2 - Make your brush/group, then place an origin brush through the middle of it along the axis you'd like it to rotate about (you can use the orange origin texture or any other as long as you tag all surfaces as origin. Hold Ctrl+Shift which selects ALL surfaces and check dat box yo!), then right click on it, link it to "rotating brush", choose "start on" and DO NOT select x or y axis for horizontal rotation. If I didn't understand what you were saying simply experiment with selecting either x or y. Hope'n dat helps bro!

Start On spawnflags:= 1 "Sets the func_rotating to be active when the map loads." Reverse spawnflags:= 2 "The func_rotating Reverses the direction of rotation." X Axis spawnflags:= 4 "The func_rotating will rotate around the X-axis rather than the Z-axis." Y Axis spawnflags:= 8 "The func_rotating will rotate around the Y-axis rather than the Z-axis." Pain on Touch spawnflags:= 16 "The func_rotating will apply its dmg value every 0.1 seconds by simply coming into contact with it - blocking it isn't necessary." Stop spawnflags:= 32 "The func_rotating will stop moving instead of pushing entities." Animated spawnflags:= 64 "The func_rotating will display a sequence of animated textures at the rate of 4 animations/second if an animated texture is applied to it." Animated Fast spawnflags:= 128 "The func_rotating will display a sequence of animated textures at the rate of 10 animations/second if an animated texture is applied to it." X7

I think my problem was that I did select the x and y axis. I'll give that a try and see what happens. I would like to see the example. My addy is quake2leray at hotmail dot com. Thanks for the help!
