I've been dabbling a bit in mapping and map planning lately. Each day, or night in my break at work I spend a bit of time refining and reconstructing my old map sketches into something more managable, and I am also trying to make the layouts a bit more vertical at the same time. At the moment I am finally blocking out my next DM map which I've decided to call "Carbon Nuetral" - think about it, humans are made from several forms of the stuff, and the goal of any DM map is to abliterate each other, or "Nuetralize", so I thought the name was fitting...someone please correct me now if this name has already been used. work is going slowly - I have too many other distractions atm, but I will finish! That's all *EDIT* - No that's not all! Here's a few pics of the map im doin. I've done a lot of refining work to my tunnel peices that I impamented in my last DM map, and have mades a stack of new pieces for this map. I will be distributing the tunnel prefabs I have made on the net soon for everyone to use as well, because I want to contribute something to the community too

What I can see looks very good, but those screenshots are extremely dark for me.

j3st3r i haven't finished it yet , still working on it when I can, but its at about 80/90% complete. came together really quick for the most part. prefabs are awesome! Yes reflex I do love my skyline Put a bit of work into the interior myself, and after I get a respray I'd like to get coilovers for it too...It's treated me well, and I treat it well too, because I'd like to think I'll have it for a while. I enjoy the attention it gets whereever I go that's for sure Sorry about the screenshots spirit, yeah they always seem to turn out darker in windows than in the game...dunno why. Might have to muck around with the setting on my card, or up the r_modulate or gamma a bit in-game. Next set of shots will most likely be at the time of release.

I know that problem with the screenshots, definitely not your fault. With some games it happens, with others it doesn't, I have no idea what to do about it myself.

Well, what I do, is open the Microsoft office picture manager and edit the screenshot for light and size before posting. Other programs may do the same trick. -W1

Edited the light in the screenshots, but could not make them bigger than so, becaurse of the low resolution. Would have come out a lot better with higher resolution, but there is light now. Took me less than 5 min. -W1

What was your FOV for those shots? 120? I love the fish-eye lens look

A better way to brighten up screenshots is to use gamma correction instead of adjusting brightness, this way they aren't washed out. I usually use a factor of 1.4-1.5 in Paint Shop Pro to make it look exactly like it does in-game.
