Sooo, me and some friends are planning to start a company, dealing with web design, game development, interactive visualisation and stuff like that.. So, we need a company name, but can't come up with anything that everyone will be happy with.. We need help! Feel free to comment with other names that would suit a company like ours

In norwegian, the word "firefly" translates to "ildflue".. Glimmerheim is not that known I guess.. most people only know about Valhall, and stuff like that =)

I think the name should reflect a little more international style and also where the location of the compagny is. Like Norsign or Nosign Norgame or Nogame something with No/r/Nordic.. could be nice, you get my drift?.. -W1

Yeh, we got some cool logos for Ildflua, but I personally don't like the sound of the name.. And it's not international enough imo..
We were also thinking of Visual North, but that was taken.. ofcourse..

How about NorTweak, sounds rather cool imo. Tweak: When you modify a certain piece of hardware for better performance, it is often referred to as "tweaking" it. Overclocking the computer's CPU or changing jumper settings on the motherboard are common examples of hardware tweaking. Removing system limitations and adding plug-ins or extensions to a computer's operating system are types of software tweaking. -W1

If you guys want Skelly, you can become a subsidiary of Altered Softworks and take advantage of free web hosting under Altered Softworks (lolmycompany.alteredsoftworks.com), and if you guys buy a domain off GoDaddy or whatever for like 2 bucks we can easily just pop it into the system and have you running off that domain without even needing to move any files around.
Think about it, let me know. I know our site and us as a team aren't very active (on the site anyways) but that doesn't mean I don't have resources available to guys like yourself!

I'll speak to my pals about it, and show them your post! =) I really like the name Altered softworks, but I'm not sure if that fits us that well.. We already have a domain and a web host, so that problem is solved for now.. Later on we'll just make our own server! =) I'll get back to it.. Maybe we hire you guys if we get a super huge contract signed!

Ahh, well I meant you guys being "under" Altered Softworks; you don't exactly have to be part of it, nor use our name in any way. I suppose kind of like how PlanetQuake offered hosted sites.
If you guys already have the hosting part figured out then it's kind of pointless, since that's really what I was talking about. As for 'contracting', if you guys need any software done let me know.
