So I just got back into playing Quake 2 (it's been a while) I was trying to find a couple of maps I liked... The first one I'm pretty sure is called "The Good, the Bad, and the Gibbed" (don't know the file name) it was a small/medium size map and had colored light strips running across the walls, I don't believe there was any custom textures used. The other is going to be tough because I have no clue what its called, it's where you're inside of a tall sky scrapper at night, looks a lot like "What is the Matrix" map here maps.clanwos.org/maponserver/q2map_m.htm (33rd map on the page) but it was bigger and not from the matrix movie of course. I know this is a long shot, but I would greatly appreciate any help, thanks.

And Happy B-Day The first map..do you remember the author or maybe how old the map is?, was it a dm map only? The second one..was this map very clean and sharp about 2 floors with a lobby as a centre and some soda machines every here and there and quite alot of glasses/windows? -W1

Haha thanks, yeah it just happens to be my birthday today lol.
To answer your first question, I do not know who the author was unfortunately. It was DM only and it was very well done, nice clean looking map. This map must be at least 6 years old. I googled the hell out of trying to find this map but came up with nothing
Second question, yes that does sound about right!..

Yeah I'll probably have to face the fact that I won't be able to find the first map. That screenshot does look like the 2nd map I'm looking for ;D Where did you get it from? -UPDATE- Haha I don't give up that easy, found the first one It's actually called 'Good the Bad & Gibble' and it's by Mark "Slyde" Ruocco. I eventually found it through Google, here's the link www.gamefreaks.net/defrag/reviews/goodbad.html of course the download link was broken, but since I had the .bsp file name it didn't take long to find a working link elsewhere (found one on Gamefront) -UPDATE 2- Found the 2nd one I checked the image source of your screenshot which was called silit.jpg, so I went to maps.clanwos.org/maponserver/ (best place for a wide selection of Q2 maps) and found a map called 'Silitex2' and the screenshot for that map looked about right

Sure here ya go www.gamefront.com/files/3147151/sldm5.bsp.zip/ it's definitely a small size DM map. I love when you're walking down some of the light strip hallways, it's like something out of Tron Thanks for the txt file and the other silitex map, I checked it out, it's not quite as nice as silitex2 but still pretty cool looking.

Thanks TraV. Thats a need map and I think it may have a good gameplay to it. Le Ray made a map in 2004, Neonopolis. This map also have some great neon effects. Thanks, that's a pretty cool map as well. Much larger map than the one I have and I like the use of the neon colored lights
