Either way- I have NO ENTITIES showing is what I am aiming at. P.S. I have torches in some Quake 2 maps and they have Torch Entities for the common 3 editors. Qoole/WC/ ? these are for the one that aren't updated commonly as Quark. Your thinking by Default. Well I am back to Square [1]

If you look at the title of that document, it is specifically for Quake 1. Quake 2 never had torches, but the common work around for it was either using a single brush with a flowing texture to simulate a flame, or an animated texture that alternated or cycled through numerous .wal files to simulate a dancing flame. It's a shame Q2 never officially supported torches since it was supported on a previous and supposedly less robust game engine.
**Edit
The only other thing I can think of is if you have an enhanced game engine, you will need to update your ent def file to show the torches if that engine supports it, but as for vanilla Q2, it simply isn't supported.

I am using the one from the CD. (WalMart ID Software) All is changed was v3.20 update. (Did I explain that right?) Gawd- I HATE speed bumps! Im making a VIDEO! Thats what I'll do and post it here.. Then you can show me what I did wrong? (Which I am sure PLENTY!)

I will make a video on it and I LOVE the thanks I get. Plus your helping people who'd NEVER be doing it without your help. Why don't you make a YT video tutorial for Quark? I have NO idea how to use it and I would watch it right away! Just keep in mind- that some need to learn like its 6th grade. You wont insult anyone but you'll keep people from hitting speed bumps. (Your speaking to a newbie crowd) SO, if you need camtasia etc let me know. **When you have them do something. Don't just 'tell' them to do it but explain why your doing it. Plus we have Canadians who watch our videos too.

Yeah...v3.20 was the final update to the standard game but others have modified the engine further in a custom exe file. I always thought it was weird Q1 had flames but Q2 didn't...then again, it was set on Stroggos and maybe fire behaves differently on that planet.

Didn't You Learn Anything at University Of Quakeville when we took the mandatory Science classes. In which they explained that the lower gravity was too heavy to sustain a self containing flame? Then also the fact that the Co2 is higher Stroggos than any other planet.. Which you and i know is used to put OUT fire on Earth.. Ever noticed how nobody but the low level Marines on "Quake 1" were the only smokers? I don;t even know why I bother to pay extra shards out when I buy something. Its a waste of my Tax Shards!!

there is a tutorial at the Quark homepage .... Quark When I click I get this message on the tutorial for Quark. quark.sourceforge.net/videos/AVI_Basic_NoSky_Map.zipFiles on SourceForge.net Project Web sites are limited to a max size. The file requested is too large. If you are the project administrator, you should host your large files using the File Release Service, not Project Web. Contact SourceForge.net support for assistance.[/font][/b]

Panzer already written down ...you need a enhanced game engine!. Kmq2 ( Lazarus ) is the Engine for me...... ( Support models ). see my latest map Margaal23 what the possibilities are with models, and yes build map with Quark editor. to setup the models In Quark you need a custom DataQ2.qrk & Q2_Lazarus.qrk more info here: leray.proboards.com/thread/3276/margaal-release-mapz-christmas-2012?page=2Iff you need more help?, just ask Knightmare he is the specialist And.. Quark editor is easy to learn with 3d layout, you can see exactly what you are doing. I can't map without 3d view...

I have a business PC- and no good 3D card. So Quark is out. knightmare and I came to the conlusion of 2 editors and I went with wordcraft. Worldcraft or whatever. I was using the SAME engine the tutorial person was using in the video. I have NO Entities in my list so I cant proceed any farther.. STALEMATE.. I am going to make a video so someone can see what I missed, did incorrect or not all. After I finish the WH that has bypassed PB and Admin. Also makes the screen go blank when a demo is being recorded. THEN- only then after I Piratebay it- I'll have a video.
