Or something similar So any player can direct a link to his maps/files etc. I made a link to my Dropbox on the profile but a specific tongue will be better to serve this purpose. I havn't made maps for years. im concentrating on making a Game Framework (Editor) But I do miss mapping.. www.dropbox.com/sh/1u0e3xjmgw78yko/AAA7sf5Gjxea5Vcdta3NnFpda

That sounds like a good idea. It would make it easier to find each members files. Btw I noticed that a lot of links, like the ones to the mapping contest maps don`t work, could simeone upliad them again ? I really would like to have them for playing and completing my personal database. So far I got approx 40 GB+ of Quake 2 stuff and look forward to get more. As soon I have sorted it ,eliminated doublettes and a better Internet connection I am willing to share it with the community.

This is the age of Cloud Services. we should exploit it We can Call it Shares or ArtWorkLinks Or Files or Assets. I think 'Assets' Is the Best.

Assets sounds good to me. Just made an account at dropbox, to upload my stuff. Only thing that it has only 2GB space. Will take me some time to fill that up but anyways does anyone know an alternative which has more free space ? Would come in handy some time in the future.

you have google drive i think its 5gb In dropbox after a while they will give you more space for some reason.. Also if you send to other people an invitation to dropbox they will increase you space. I prefer dropbox because its one of the most conviniants of them all. but always backup your work on the computer as well. Do not relay on dropbox. They will not erase your files but they may be over written by versions mistakes. alway you got a backup of the previous version at any case on the server. ok i just checked.. its 15 gb from google drive

Gee 15 GB rocks!!! That's how I like it. Thanks for the information. My work always goes to my USB drive as soon as its done. I don't rely on a HDD either. Got a major crash once...whoops everything was gone, except for the stuff I archived on CD-ROM (DVDs werent invented back then). Took me a long time getting all those downloads again and the search continues...
