i need just a monster_misc like easterchick but replace that model for another one. i am setting key model and value models/monsters/woman/tris.md2 in gtkRadiant entities tab but it does not work. model seems to be hardcoded in that entity. how to change it? or how to create new entity?

There's no way to do this with most entities in vanilla Q2, only with pickup items.
You can use the model_spawn entity in the Lazarus mod. Note that it uses the "usermodel" key and you have to leave off "models/" from the model path.

well, what about misc_model, or just starting from clicking 'model...' button in the entities tab? gtkRadiant help says, you can import models this way into map, and then they will be merged into bsp file. tried some tris.md2 or some .ase this way and gtkRadiant crashes...

tried another tris.md2 not animated like adrenalin/tris.md2. quake says misc_model does not have spawn function. what is that?

Misc_model is a Q3 engine thing, it's not supported by Q2 or its map compiler (qbsp3).

ok.. good to know. like it is said above, you can replace model path in pickable items like adrenaline. i tried that and works, but i don't want the object rotate. and i want it to be inactive.
