Hi all I'm new here. And I wonder has anyone got Eraser bot able to install on Windows 8.1? If not - does anyone have it installed on their computers? If so - could you please provide me the installed files for download? I don't have any comps where I can install it, so I wonder if someone already has it and can help me out. Many many thanks in advance. Take care and have a nice day.

Have you tried Feathmatch Manager ( DMM2 ) yet. At least under Win7 64 bit it works. It has eraser on board with it. Hope it works. Or you install a VM with WinXp. Does many deals for me. Like playing Worms and stuff. Its no big deal installing. Need help? Drop me a message and I will see what I can do. But its easy with googling around a bit.

You don't need batch files to launch Q2 mods when you can just edit shortcut target properties:
X:\Quake2\quake2.exe +set game eraser +exec eraser.cfg
The problem with running a bot launcher in a VM would be that it would launch Quake2 inside the VM as well, which probably wouldn't work, unless you had hardware virtualization support for your GPU.
For the Quick Start launcher included with the full Eraser version, I tried installing the missing system files it complains about, but it still won't work on Windows 7 (out of memory error- probably due to a numerical overflow).

Thx for the list. Didn't know about that. But I think if he uses WIN 8.1 his system should be advanced enough to do it. At least I hope so. I got a Vista based laptop and it does it quite well.

Lots of new Intel CPUs don't have that feature due to their nutso product segmentation, such as the budget Celerons, Pentiums, Core i3's, and even the high-end K-series multiplier-unlocked processors (with the exception of the newest Devil's Canyon Haswell models).
