Carmack's Uber setup. Romero and his editor Margaal thought it'd be a neat idea to have section for screenshots of mapper's work area So now you'll know where Maric spent all those long hours making those kick ass maps: I had to dig through a dark closet, do battle with 8-legged critters but behold, my 10 year old mapping dinosaur rises from the past. It's dusty, noisy, Win2k and still ready to rock! View Attachment

Well I have definitely modernized a bit since I first started, including my editor being a sneak peek of Trench Broom 2 with Quake 2 support, loving my new battle station and workplace! (Though as my partial background makes evident I need to clean up more, I am such a mess and lazy about fixing it, and busy with what I do hehe ^w^) And now for this wreck pictured below, I started my PC Quake II gaming on this thing that looks like it's been through a war zone due to being used for countless years XD! It's surface area where my hand was usually on got so worn I had to use duct tape to cover the worn area! After many years of use I finally moved onto this laptop, it also shows signs of wear but not so much, and it's now retired from major use as a mere backup to my current desktop pc, which I got like within a couple months ago.

Wow guys, this is awesome. If I had a camera back then I could have posted mine too... I guess my current rig will have to do. If I want to play a game I wheel it over to my bed and sit on that. The same goes for movies but I lay down instead because I'm a badass like that. The frame is an old laundry hamper re-invented into a desk. I added the lower shelf to hold my tower and other misc. stuff. There are so many power cords that I have to wrap them around the back leg on the right. Also the power strip is plugged into an extension cord that is woven thru cardboard tubes so I don't run over them.

I just recently finished building my new desk. I gave up on trying to find one. Why does everybody make desks so tiny? I NEED SPACE! Old: New: Constructed from a door and filing cabinets.

I have three monitors, usually only use the two on the left. Keep it nice and simple.

For a moment, I thought somebody was sitting on your bed wearing some sexy leather pants or boots.. then I realized it was the chair.

Here is my work desk, currently working on my next Quake 2 map, for the contest: ..and obviously a big fan of Dexter tv-show.
