Very nice. Thanks for the update Krisuroku! There aren't nearly enough castle maps on Quake 2 so this is quite a treat.

Looks good and almost done, for 6-8 players. On the advice side, I would be careful with blockiness in brushwork and vis, based on those shots, and add some more detail where it won't interfere with r_speeds greatly.

The two castle maps in the contest have inspired me to make one aswell, just for my own pleasure really cool stuff here! It looks and feels like a genuine castle judging by the screenshots. Maybe add a Well or something in the yard area? Some cool larger detail piece to catch the player's atention

Great work Krisuroku! I also really love the medieval theme that stretches into ancient mythology. It takes you back to the days of massive fortresses, castles and walled villages, each forged and crafted from stone, wood and metal. The very simplicity of the building materials, coupled together with the intricate solid nature and beauty of their creation still amazes. And till this day it's inspiring to think that once there was simple ingenuity that helped the knights defend their unique kingdoms from unfriendly hordes, or other evils lurking beyond their walls in the wilderness. There's something relaxing thinking about these simpler times away from the globalized world in which the threat lurks in your midst, and there's no wall tall enough or drawbridge to raise to keep it out. One can also appreciate the stories of dragons, the myths and legends, and clearly defined struggle between good and evil, or warnings passed on by ancestors, which have been purposely muffled, blurred or rewritten in the modern times, almost expecting us to lower our guard, forget our heritage, and who we are. Well some of us will not, instinctively we know why people used to build castles, or why it was important for them to keep well defined boundaries, while passing on crafts of swordsmanship and knowledge of self preservation
