Can screen flashing and underwater cloud effects be disabled? I have tried setting gl_flashblend & gl_polyblend both to " 0 " via the console and autoexec.cfg but neither work? the variable reports that it is set to " 0 " but the effect is still there when picking up ammo or being hit by enemy fire, I prefer to play with out that effect or cloudy water when the player is in liquids.

Almost of the gl_* cvars were renamed to r_* in KMQ2's renderer due to removal of the software renderer, so those cvars are actrally r_flashblend and r_polyblend.
