Well, it's basically done. The times for the server will be from whenever the comp gets up I guess, I'll try my best to leave it on. If timing doesn't work out I'll try to use my mom's computer as a virtual server. Anyway, info: Server/host/IP: paril.servequake.com Port: 28 Guests ARE allowed, but they cannot upload. Use the username "anonymous", no password (or just enter a random one) Both active and passive mode are supported. Cya there Those without an account need to PM or drop me an email (jonno . 5000 [at] gmail [dut] com). If you wish to change your account's name that I supplied you, PM and email!1111111 -Paril

Yeah. I see you uploadin' Bud. Grieve, I see you uploading a lot of maps in ZIP format; is this a database downloaded from another site? If so it would be easier to send me the link to the database so I can just unzip it to the FTP directory. Saves both of us bandwidth -Paril

These are the original zip archives from my file archive, just the way I downloaded them. They are from a multitude of sources, Planetquake, FTP servers, individual authors sites. I only repackaged them in case the original archives contained errors.

Was just making sure. Didn't want you to waste a lot of your bandwidth on useless uploading -Paril

just a thought, why arent we using Deacon's Tomb for map downloads?? since he has over 6000 maps uploaded there anyway? btw i like the public FTP idea.

Because it could be hard to find what you're looking for. On the FTP we can easily sort the maps by artist

Deacons also does not have everything. I hope everyone here uploads and shares his rare stuff. Check out what I already uploaded. BTW. at which times is the server running ? I am often unable to connect. Shouldn't it have a bit regularity to be a real FTP server ?

we've been going through some internet problems. If you're unable to connect you're probably connecting at night when I'm asleep (computer = noisy).
