Just lighten up a bit and stop scaring people away. I get turned off by all of the 'soap opera' antics too. So, I only visit on occasion now. Of course, since I can't map at work anymore (only during lunchtime of course), I am less interested.

if you can't figure out something like ebay, then I doubt that you'll figure out how to fire me.
...not before I change the forum's background to a nice paisley print or some other gay color.

The first thing I will do is to take all of the gay-looking smilies down, and replace them all with mean, power-hungry faces. (yes...like this one.) (oh yes...he can stay too) The smiley that says "I love the Q2 Cafe'" is really gay. It will now say..."This is a beotchin place". All of Lerays new maps will be removed from the system and replaced with his first 6 or 7 maps that he has made. (rocket launcher scavenger is a good one) While these old maps do not look as good as the newer maps, it will make most people feel better about their own mapping skills. Lastly, we will have bi-monthly picnics at Leray's house. BYOB (bring your own baloney)

If you need any help making things move or creating doors, just give a holler. There's lots of good mappers around that would be happy to help a newbie mapper out.

Neal and Bob,

Actually, I'm the guy in the white shirt with the moustache and lip hair right beneath that girl's right foot. I was raising my arms and jumping up and down.
I ain't no girl!

Hmmm...you are pretty cute. My friend snapped this photo of me with a digital camera during my last arena fight. He got me in mid-air like a true ninja!

Yep. I had written a Private Message to Jester and he made it public. I deleted the post and told him that I wanted my Private Messages to stay private. Jester reposted it. The ban will be lifted on March 15th. Ample warnings were made prior.

Jester,
I firmly told you that the PM I sent you was PRIVATE. You posted it once and I deleted it. I warned you about it explicitly.
You thought people should know how I would run the Cafe. Well, people know. Now, I will let people know that my warning shall not go unheeded.
It is ashame I have to do this. I think you have alot to offer the community. However, I will not tolerate you repeating my PRIVATE MESSAGE. (even if it shows no harm. I did warn you)
Sorry, but Jester is Banned too.

I think I mentioned something in the private mail I sent you.
I will not look through past posts and pull out quotes. In fact, I hate those quotes and rarely use them. Things can be taken out of context too easily.
So, do you want to talk Quake now?

It was for fun. (I suppose) I didn't vote for anyone, because I like certain things in both LeRay's maps and Maric's maps.

I decided to throw my vote to you after all, LeRay.
It was close, but since you don't kick people off of your site for no reason, then I voted for you.

I cannot vote either.
I love the believable structure and architecture in Marics maps. The textures are typically varied too. (aventium haunts or whatever it is called, had way too many crosses in it for me.) Maric doesn't seem to put in any 'moveable objects' though. Lack of elevators, stairs, traps, moving doors....(always a jump-pad though)
Leray's mapping skills are greatly improving, and I don't think he has reached his plateau just yet. Leray is starting to use more varying textures throughout the levels, which was one of my past complaints. Moving items and traps are becoming the norm in his maps which I enjoy as well. I'm all about map interaction.
I don't know of the other mappers, but I must say that anyone that has made any decent map deserves attention. (Maybe I will post my old map again here for review.)
Besides playability, I like the fine details in a map. The believability. If there's a control panel in the middle of a room, what is it for? Does it make noise? Should other equipment be associated with it? Large pipes should lead somewhere, right? A pump? A sewer drain?
Half-life has some very nice map designs for industrial/underground areas. ICO (PS2 game) is awesome for interior castle rooms. I suggest that mappers check out these games for ideas and reference.
