Yep. Thanks. Also thanks for the mssgs. If ever I'd need help, I'll ask Le Ray heheh Hmm.....Neur0...thanks for the link, but I can't seem to find any Tread 3d plugins. I remember reading that Tread had a light preview plugin, as well as others. But the plugins.zip file isn't on fileplanet anymore. I've been scrounging around here and there, but to not avail. Any chance that someone got ahold of one in the early days of Tread? Also, the extra primitive brushes are a broken link.

Le Ray, what version of Tread do you use? I have v 2.3
Also, does anyone have the Tread3d plug ins? The download link to their site is broken for brushes and plug ins. Any brushes besides a cube would be easier.

Heheh, I stumbled upon 'floating' items when I made a big bathroom for my project Protosphere....made a huge rubber duck and some bottles 'float' around in a big bathtub. Just link the brush/group of brushes the func_train and set two or more path_corner 's in the water for it. Simple and fun effect. Make sure to target the right path_corner names.

lol....Maybe I can be of assistance here.... Ok, first of all, you can check up www.planetquake.com/tread and look up help there...They have a couple of helpful tuts there....also there is an old version help file fro download, but it's still good. When you begin to compile, BSP compiles your basic map, with no lighting. VIS and RAD are the ones for lightnig. So if you have no lights in your map, or don't want them in yet, check NONE under VIS and RAD options. If you choose NONE under BSP options, then you won't have a map. Choose NONE under Quake2 option in order to not auto run q2 once the compile is finished CHECK TO SEE IF YOU HAVE A LEAK........theres a nifty console on the bottom of Tread.....if it did leak, then you cant run VIS or RAD lighting programs. IF when you rnu q2 it says theres no bsp file, then the bsp is either in the wrong directory (should be in baseq2/maps) I've had the bsp problem before......just reinstall Tread without spaces in the directory (eg. 'C:/Program Files/tread' is not good) That should let you compile then.

Foo Fighters was a semi-deragitory term used to name Japanese pilots in WWII, but now it is used to describe unexplainable air-borne things, such as the mysterious ball lightning. Great band tho. Scientists cannot explain why this ball of lightning stays afloat and hovers and travels through the air. It can't be plasma of any sort, since plasma would float up because it weighs less than air. Some explode or fizzle out. There are numerous theories, one of which is the creation of ball lightning thru lightning striking the ground, creating sulphur.

Lol. It's most likely that bigfoot is fake....since the guy who dressed up as bigfoot in that video where he was walking away and looked at the camera died last year and his son confessed to the hoax. how very sad for those scientists who analyzed that video heheh. I think a bigfoot type creature may exist

Track #9 on the CD is from Sonic Mayhem...it's the first level music. In fact, I believe Sonic Mayhem did all the Q2 level scores....but as far as the Theme Song goes, I have yet to hear it Is it the Makron fight theme?

Quakes rule
Has anyone heard of id sofwatre's latest project? They said it wouldn't be Wolf, Doom, OR Quake........so what will it be?
Quake4 will be good though. I'm thinking it will be Doom3 with better multiplayer.

Lol. I have 128 mb ram which is way under the 300 ram mininmum and the demo runs ok...pauses and is choppy at times, but playable a bit. Where to find a good deal on a 512 RAm stick? Any suggestions? Btw the demo is really short and only goes up to the imp and machinegun

Doom 3

Aw yea....That would be Doom2.... The last level where monsters spawn arond you and you have to walk up several leves just to get one shot at the wall texture whilst being shot and scratched at... I think instead of buying Doom3, I will buy the Doom Collector's Edition.....heh it's only about 15$ at EB. Considering that Doom3 would end up costing me well over $120 (including RAM upgrades and maybe a new gfx card)....I'll settle for the next best thing. w00t.

Doom 3

I thought Doom3 was great. It is a bit dark, but hey- that's the freaky charm that is Doom. It's refreshing to see a game that steps out and essentially makes its own genre. The action/horror combo is excellent and really complements the spectacular gfx. The last action/horror FPS I've seen would probably be AvP or Quake.....Quake was really freaky lol. But Doom3 has something else........it's got a sort of greater impact on the senses taht can only be described as masterful craftsmenship. Excellent.

Just an update. CTF has now been revived in Protosphere.
USA vs Soviet ctf, same basic ctf from Quake2 ctf without the techs and soon without grapple
client forward and side speed has been slowed to 113, so player runs slightly slower, bob_up changed to .02, adding realism to movement.
cmd firemode, which changes the autos for full auto to single shot have been binded to mouse3, along with a custom script for smoother and smlower player movement. Which means while you are in singleshot mode, you are more accurate while moving. gun_x also moves to -12 when it happens...
Also a scripted sniper zoom, which changes the actual crosshair from ch2 to the special ch8 'scope' good thing the crosshairs are auto scaled now thanks to quake2max engine..... custom sounds also play using 'play blah/blah' syntax
Keep in mind these alterations are all done in scripts I'd need some hard code to fully implement these changes....
