there are not too many Quake 2 DM maps with cool looking plants (which are done in this fashion) and then in combinaton with an Aztec temple (or is it mayan ?) this is like a Tomb raider DM map would be if Tomb Raider had DM. Ahhhh...Tombraider, proberbly the only game Iv spend as much time on as Quake 2... W1

I'm gonna have to make a Lara Croft skin for you Wixen1!
I wish that game had DM, and I wish you could do a backflip while firing two weapons in Q2.... Anyone else wonder how much time it would take to mod some boob-movement physics into q2?

thundering good map, kind of simple though! Fast gameplay and good layout, might use a quad and more health but the view is awesome

Great stuff! About as close to 'Pyramid Of The Magician' as you can take Q2, much better veggies than 'The Lava Tube' too.

Don't remember. I don't have the map anymore. It was sort of like Lava Tube, with a few suttle differences. Lava was slime, the big drum was moved.. Like a remake, but things were displaced, and it was very fun. There was a button that made a huge slime wave go over the entire map

Miniwood, I owe you an appology and and a big thank you and even some overdue credit as well. 1 - T3h appology - I forgot to give you credit (inadvertantly so) for the "skull-lights" idea I used in this map. They were directly inspired by your very cool animated fire tutorial .map. I kept getting bored while playing in all of the huge maps I made in the past. It's why I started making really basic layouts over the last bunch. It took some convincing but that was why MONSTER went the way she did with her maps. We used to play them here over my Lan (my old big ones) and she realized that simple was more-gooderer. I wrestle with the whole Quad/Health/Armor thing. It really depends upon my mood as I am putting that junk in the map. I have been playing through Black for the Xbox and was freak'n-frustrated that it'd take soooooo many shots to bring the bad-guys down. Call it a "compensation" with my Q2 maps. I can more or less control that sort of aspect with the items I put in the map. Note that I do not place any large phallus's (or is it phallusi?) in any of my maps (see Sven) so it is not the "sort" of compensation... just saying

Heh, I loved playing the first two Tomb Raiders on the PS1 and I have the latest Tomb Raider sitting right over there, yeah there, see it? For my Xbox, I have yet to play it though. I am trying to stay awake as I finish playing through Doom 3 (yaaaaaaaaaaawnnnn!) I still listen to a lot of the music from the first TR game.

monster is a she? coool oh well.. Maric, i really loved the way you made the map so that it is possible to get to the very upper top of the map. with some Rocket jumps etc.. and you mixed it so good with the nature textures.. this doesn't just look like a "temple" (or whatever it is) in the nature, forest etc. It surely mixes it together very well.. to bad with the hight R_speed.. but still REALLY good for Lan..
