Well, I haven't been shut down completely yet, so I'm starting on my 34th map. Here's the screenshot.... It's going to have a lot of vertical space, long falls. I'm going to make it simple, don't want to get too involved and not be able to finish.

by the way, if you (Le Ray) or anyone else is interested, here's a bind I wrote for taking screenshots:
bind F12 "clear; cl_gun 0; crosshair 0; wait; wait; wait; wait; wait; screenshot; wait; cl_gun 1; wait; crosshair 1"
it removes the gun/hand from the screen, then removes the crosshair, takes the screenshot, and then returns the gun/hand and crosshair back to normal. it's nice if you don't like all the distractions in your screenshots. feel free to modify to your liking.

Shadowtech: have you any idea how to remove the health/ammo hud from the bottom of the screen??

my guess is that you need a custom pakfile for that, where all the console pics are replaced with plain transparent ones. I never found a console command to deactivate the hud. or you edit the hud out with paintshop or photoshop. no kidding, that's what I did recently with a couple of screenshots. a lot of work but a good photoshop skill exercise.

As far as I know, there's no console command to remove the HUD. You would probably have to create a custom pak file with transparent icons or edit them out of the screenshot with Photoshop, as Grieve suggested.

Remove the HUD: Use the minus sign to shrink the screen until the HUD is in the background. Then crop the image. As for the gun post, I have a bind that sets the FOV to 91. Very Simple - Mike

Ok guys. I made a small pak temporarily. At this moment it contains just 4 images, the 4 default pics when You start a map: the 1 and 0 for 100 health, the cross for health, and the blaster pic. So if You won't pick up anything (in development mode for example, where You don't play the level exactly, just surfing in it) the HUD will be full blank. Put it in the baseq2 or whatever directory You want, and rename it to an available pak number (pak7.pak etc). Feel free to use it to make a big pak with the full picture set! bye

Another easy way is using the so called Nohud mod: ftp.se.kde.org/pub/pc/games/idgames2/planetquake/3/nohud11.zipFor making the crosshair(s) invisible, you can take the crosshairs of the Dday-mod (ch1.pcx, ch2.pcx and ch3.pcx) and put them into a pak-file, they are transparent by default cause the Dday mod doesn't use crosshairs!
