Here is a link to my latest release (well, technically this is a re-release):
<link removed>
As always, looking for general feedback and commentary on lights, item placement, and general aesthetics.
I have included an .aas file for fans of the Gladiator bots. Give it a spin.
Thanks.

Ya technically you just edited somebody elses work... The ZIP is missing a sky texture and e1u1/baslt3_4.wal. The origional map was great, so I guess Technically this map is great too.

Many thanks to all for their (mostly private) feedback.
The final pre-release version is undergoing private beta. I look forward to an official release later this week.
Email me at rqm@planetquake.com if you would like beta the pre-release version.

Requiem, I have to say, this is a really cool map. Everything looks really nice, the lighting looks great, I would like to look at it for a few more days, are you planning on releasing it soon? One thing I would like to see you do is sink the spawn points, this would really clean up the map. After the release, I'll do a review of it! Nice work!

LeRay,
Thanks for the kind words. Technically, it was released over a year ago. Fortunately, it was released with little or no fanfare. I'm not in a hurry to officially re-release it, so feel free to take your time and study it.
With regard to the spawnpoints, I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I understand the advantages to sinking them. However, I can't help but adhere to my mapping conventions from RQMDM2 and RQMDM3 (they are not sunk).
Perhaps with RQMDM5 I'll explore sinking the pads.

I understand about the pads.
I looked at it again and I really didn't see anything I would change.
I really think you did a great job on it!
I'll do a review when I get a little free time.
Thanks Requiem!

Requiem, if this is the final version, please add it to the "New Quake 2 Maps" forum, for public release! Thanks.

No, you don't have to remove it.
Can you announce the final version in the New Quake 2 Maps Forum? Thanks.
