Iv just installed Doom3 and having problems with the lights in the game. Even on most brilliance, the game seems very dark. Is there a way to correct this, like in Q2 (vid-gamma, intensity, gl-modulate)? W1

No, and this is a very common complaint about the game. It's extremely dark, and unfortunately you can't use your flashlight and a weapon at the same time. There is a mod or two floating around though that includes a light-mounted weapon. You could also try the "Classic Doom" mod, which takes the original Doom '95 and puts it in Doom 3's engine. cdoom.d3files.com/

Basically, someone re-made all the original levels/maps from Doom (the game that was released in 1993) in the Doom 3 engine. Kind of like taking a Quake 2 map and converting it to Quake III Arena, in a way. But instead of converting, they were completely re-made for Doom 3.
