LOL- Yeah- Yeah -yeah I got you to read it.. I have a Quake 2 Gamex86.Dll from a MOD that I do not have the source for. I used to Resource editing and I tried to make a change to a URL inside the .DLL Did this with Notepad++ and saved it. It not only didnt work. The .Dll wont load either. DL and tried PE explorer. When I go to disassemble it crashes... So, what can I use to edit the .dll and have it still work.?? For the curious it was the SGM (Stroggs Gone Mad Gamex86.dll)

Try a hex editor.
But you can't replace text strings with longer ones, only the same length or shorter (by using the null char to terminate).

Hmm- I went back to PE Explorer and the disassembler didn't crash. I am lost- cause it WONT let me save as only as as a project name. I cant believe that I CANT compile the dam dll back ? This doesnt seem right at all. (I MUSt be doing something wrong)
