When I 1st started making installer for Quake 2. I was getting into Quake III Arena which is where I learned to LOVE
the Railgun sound over our Quake 2 original. If you have ever compared the sound files side by side in Quake 2 / Quake III.
You'll notice some are very close if not nearly identical in their file names.
Now if my memory is correct- for the railgun there is one difference in which one of the sound files loops.
What this does is acts as a beacon in Quake 2. One can tell where the other players are with the railguns now.
It is my understanding one can simply replace the ''pain' sounds with countdowns. 100.wav,75.wav ,50 etc
Then there is more- what ones do You all know about?
