You have all probably been here, nice collection of some old news from back in the day if you look around. Made me laugh pretty hard from some of the old pics! Great memories before the online collapses started to get a foothold. Too bad the industry started to take over the online world instead of gamers maintaining control of it.
Shame he doesn't get more hits and appreciation from his peers for what he has tracked down and brought together in one place to read with one's morning "caffeine" hit.
I would need to take a look, i am not paying much attention to this so i do not keep a record of websites with new Quake 2 maps. Also, nowadays there is too many people who only release on Modb, Twitter or Discord.

From surfing past post while lurking around on the boards prior to becoming a Quake 2 Cafe member, the subject (which I will bring up in the mapping club) has been brought forward but nothing implemented, which from what I have pieced together is just basically a lack of manpower as well as a few shit talkers. (those who don't walk their talk) Hopefully it will be well received when I post it and if not, well I'll just take the whole workload on myself if I can get permission and a few temporary/limited privileges until the work is completed and ready to be unveiled. Oooooo mystery.
The current situation can always be changed imo, but it would take some elbow grease, always better if everybody chips in grabbing some of the work load as well instead of waiting for somebody else to do it all. I know I'm not afraid of hard work, and from reading your posts here as well as a few other places on the web I know your not either cocerello.

For example, you can check this place, and search for ''Q2'' and ''Quake 2''.
I am aware of Func_Msgboard/celephais.net, few smart cookies in there for sure. Thanks for mentioning them btw.
It is one of the many places I referred to for gathering information/research when I was building the Off The Grid Q2 (Quake Series) community as I watched the online gaming industry gather more power over the gaming communities with their influence'rs.

Modb, twitter, discord all good ideas, but nothing that can't be implemented with in a community outside the control of said organizations and in the end much more powerful!
