Is anyone here using Win10 for their setup? I keep hearing bad things about Win10 with older games and know nothing about how level editors and other mapping tools (Wally, QRad, etc) behave in a 64 bit environment. So...do I jump on board with a Win10 setup or try to find a Win7 machine to get back on this damn horse!??

I don't have Win10, but I am currently running Win7 64-bit. Almost all tools work correctly, the only ones that won't are really old 16-bit stuff that was coded or compiled for compatibility with Windows 3.x (this includes InstallShield 3.x installers, but there are apparently workarounds for those). For example, the older 16-bit version of WinPak won't run, but the 32-bit build works fine.
Windows 10 may throw an additional monkey wrench into the mix, so your best bet is probably with Windows 7.

Thanks brother! That also means a lower priced system 😬
