Okay I apologize for the unclear topic title, but I'm wondering if anyone has maps for Quake 2. Not "maps" as in the file that you plug into quake 2 and play, but "maps" as in an image file that you look at with your eyes.
I was thinking about single player level design, and I'd like to take a closer look at Quake 2. Specifically, I'm thinking about how the single player levels were arranged in multiple maps to form a large area that you could explore, and while progression was technically linear, you still went through inter-connected areas and sometimes had to back-track to find your next objective. I'm wondering if anyone has maps (for eyeballs) of the single player levels, so that one could examine them and note how the progression was set up; how everything connected to each other and how players could access each spot. In what ways was the player forced to re-tread old ground, in what ways was this made new, how much does a player have to go through to reach a place they saw but could not access, etc.
There's a fair amount to study, and having image maps helps with this.

Lots of elements involved in making an SP map. I have heaps of unfinished SP maps for my Q2 unit, but not gonna show anyone yet, haha. I've been trying to get good for years, even decades. I have real life to deal with too, but just starting to get back into mapping for this great game now and trying to finish my map sketches off and then map them out hopefully.
What theme are you going for anyways? This may help us to answer YOUR questions easier.

Theme? Umm, no, I mean maps of the regular campaign in Quake 2. The one Id made.
Again, I'm NOT looking for maps to play in Quake 2, I'm looking for visual maps, images of the maps that show the layout and such.

Ah I understand now. Have you tried googling them at all? I haven't myself but surely there would be somewhere that has them.

You can try to make them yourself, actually, it's not hard. Start from here and here (those are for Quake Live, but you'll get the idea, procedure should be essentially the same for Quake II).

You clearly didn't understand the original question quakelover; perhaps you would reread the first message more carefully, not just the subject (which is indeed somewhat confusing).
