KMQ2's editing capabilities are covered in the editing section of the KMQ2 site. You can just save the page so you can read it offline.
Got it, short easy read in the editing section. Lots of other useful information on the site as well. This is going to be a lot of fun using! Appreciate all the personal time you and your ?team? have put in to this project. Very detailed you are, I like people like that.
On the KMQuake2 site-
To make a texture have a cut-out, make a .wal texture with the areas to be invisible as color 255, or the last color in the palette that appears as a dark pink or peach in Wally. You can find a tutorial on making these textures here. Alternately, you can make a TGA texture with cut-outs by using an alpha channel that makes those parts invisible.
In your links sections I went to the Lazarus QUake II mod website which takes me to the way back machine but there is nothing there for me to sift through to better understand the Lazarus mod, or I am doing something wrong when I get there? Any mirror backs up you know of/other places on the web I can read up on it or do you have any files you can share that will help me in getting a much deeper understanding of this mod?
Also on the links page the Inside QC Forums is another dead link, same question as above, any mirror back ups of that you know of, or personal files you have that you can share, will take anything and as much as you can give. Did a search with the phrase "Quake engine programming" a lot of stuff came up which appears useful. Any suggestions on your part where would be a good place to start.
Post or pm, which ever you prefer.
On the funny side:
RoQing Cinematics
Quake3 RoQ format cinematics are now supported, so if you'd like add pre-rendered cutscenes between maps, but gag at the 256-color, low-res .cin format, you now have a higher-res, greater color depth alternative.

That gag part made me cough up tea through my nose I laughed so hard! Can't explain why I found it so funny except to say I had a funny vision come to mind when you were typing that out
Damn industry influence rs sure have done a bang up job of crushing Q2's online history and communities, long live Quake 2 Cafe and all the Q2 on the grid + off the grid rebels!!!
