What textures are used on a second screen? Custom textures I made using the "pillar1_1" texture featured in the 2nd mission units in vanilla quake 2. I got rid of the rivets and made it so it didn't look like light was shining from above. I got a whole heap of them in different sizes and shapes to cater for different brushwork. So how did you done this?

I made them using Wally, but had to do alot of the selecting and manipulatiin in photoshop, then copy and paste back into wally amd then save them as .wal.
I'd love to do a hires version of them, but since I have red/green colorblindness, I might need some help with that...

Can you advise some tutorials? I need some similar job to do, but I'd rather learn how to do it myself than have someone agree to help me.

Here's some more shots. At the moment these are more-or-less set pieces. Once I get around to blocking out the layout of the maps, these parts will probably be optimized a bit for VIS purposes. Enjoy.

Nice layout. Reminds me of Doom 3 Monorail. Will there be a rail section, too?

Nice layout. Reminds me of Doom 3 Monorail. Will there be a rail section, too? Yes, I have a map in the works called shipping depot that will have trains. The above shots are for my smelting plant map and the big tunnels are for the smelting pots to travel through, to different parts of the map. I was thinking also that the player may be having to ride one to get somewhere that they can't by conventional means, like a locked door that you can't get through so you hijack a smelting pot and travel around like that to get to where you need to...ideas anyway.

I haven't played Ground Zero for so long. I've been meaning and wanting to play through all tge q2 games again for a while. I think doing it co-op will help, as I have no real motivation to play it through by myself.

You can play Reckoning, Ground Zero, Zaero, and quite a few custom Q2 maps at [HCI]Maraakate's custom coop server. Just put "maraakate.org" into your address book, and join the server.

Also, if you use KMQ2 you can avoid auto-downloading the mission packs' content if you mount them via basegame cvars:
+set basegame xatrix +set basegame2 rogue +setbasegame3 zaero
