Got one of these with me right now... Paulaner - Hefe-Weizen Here's a description of it: "This exceptional Hefe-Weizen is one of my favorites due to its availability in my town and its freshness. This bottle touts an expiration date of 1-01. Its color is a hazy straw hue, but it is not a wheat brew trying to be a pilsner. The head is huge and commendably tenacious. It has a fine, tighly-knit pure white head. A perfect pour in my .3l Paulaner Weissbier glass! It is unfiltered as the name suggests, and this is evident in its appearance and in the nose. The nose is highly phenolic, with a big fruity boquet that is dominated by banana and apples to a lesser extent. Also typical of hefes, cloves are evident, but not as distinct as in other representatives like Schneider Weisse. On the palate, the fruitiness is confirmed as is the clove character. It is a very refreshing brew, but not merely a "lawnmower beer." It is enjoyable after a hard day's labor, or while writing a term paper on Vietnam for a US Foreign Policy course. Truly a thirst quencher that can be enjoyed year-round, but specifically when the mercury begins to rise in the thermometer. Since 1634: Paulaner has crafted a line of brews that are exceptionally timeless." Another one of my favorite beers. Try a lemon with it too, very good stuff!
