Your comments on Quake 4...
Is it worth buying?
Is it better than Quake 2?
Will my Pentium 2 Proccessor work with Quake 4?
How much money do I need to spend to get a computer that would work with Quake 4?
And anything else you have to say about Quake 4....

Quake 4

from the echo in the newsgroups it seems that people (who played the previous Quakes too ) like it and consider it a must-have. I am sure this is the game I have been waiting for. gonna wait a bit with uprgading though. I could afford a system which meets the minimum requirements now, but I want a future proof high end rig, so I'll save bucks for some more month. it's my usual habit to be the last to join the party, why should I change this ? ;D is it better than Quake 2 ? yes and no; i'd say. it's tough to compare games which are so different and belong to different stages of technical development. We also have to state the fact that Quake 2 is not perfect too. iD can create engines which are great to play, are perfect platforms for modifications, have awesome graphics. they usually also create high standard media and artwork for their games, and Quake 2 fails nowhere in these points. the only thing iD can't create are well developed single player missions. ;D the official single player part of Quake 2 was unfortunately weak and boring, regardless the great atmosphere and architecture. as a platform to create single player maps, on the other side, Quake 2 was acceptable. I've played a lot of SP maps which were extremely challenging and fun. I find it likely that Raven have created a better single player mission. an iD software engine game with a single player part designed by Raven is possibly the best of two worlds. for the multiplayer part I really can't tell by now. I hope it does not resemble the multiplayer of Quake 3 too much like they announced it would. of all things, I don't want the physics to be so "muddy" like in Q3. I hope they are clear and precise like in Q1 and Q2.

Like Grieve I cannot play it yet anyway due to computer stat restrictions. Maybe one day when they release Quake 20 I will have a system that can run Quake 4 (j/k).
