iron448: this is a nice map, a little tight in some areas, but otherwise it plays well and has some pretty decent architecture too. item placement is logical and varied enough to keep things interesting. good work!

From the looks of the screenshots, you need to use a bit more varied lighting; all I see is the default white. I'd have to play it though, but your links broken :/. But other than that, it looks great.

Most maps have that. Not much more than the default lighting in a medieval castle map -Paril

I imagined that a medieval castle would include fire torches, and last time I checked, fire torches don't have white lighting

Hey skeetz, link is not broken. Here is a direct link to download the map. www.gaming.killerpings.ws/fortress.zip I also used the default white lighting, because I wanted it to look more realistic, in my opinion the white lighting looks more realistic then colored lighting in city maps. I did cut the project a little shorter then I wanted to, because the actual size of the map was starting to get too large. You can play the map on my server Urban Warfare WoD 7.51 - IP 69.65.31.83:27910 stop on by. IrOn448

Thanks for the link dude, I just gave it a quick run through, and while there were some nice points here and there, there were some major issues. First of all, it felt more like a CTF map where the bases where different. Deathmatch maps tend to go in a circular matter, and this CTF style setup makes me feel like I really have no place to go, and there will be an an entire crossfire between the two sides when you have a large-or even medium, for that matter- amount of players, and you'd be a sitting duck on the side you are on, lest you want to die in the middle. This also leads me to my next major issue. Why in the HELL would you put the BFG and Quad in waltzing distance of each other?! That is a MAJOR balance issue, and adds to the fact above. A player with BFG+Quad = nigh unstoppable. Not to mention that on a map this small, the BFG is...well... an even BIGGER f**kin' Gun, so to speak, because it becomes REALLY overpowered. Also, where is all your light coming from? It's at night, and the moon doesn't give off that much light. There should have been less light, and it shouldn't have been as bright. Sorry if I sounded really negative, it's just that once I get started on a rant about a map, I'll go on until I'm absolutley done. However, it's not all bad. I like how you managed to keep your texturing cohesive- very nice. Also, while I did have a problem with your placement of the BFG and Quad , I did appreciate your effort on the placement of the Invulnerbility- by putting it in a closed off space, a player would have to expose himself to a rocket or granade-even though by the time the grenade/rocket reaches them, they might already have the Invulnerbility. I also liked the way your window doors opened- when you have a railgun, its like one of those whack-a-mole games you see at Chucke Cheese when you were young-Quake 2 style. Not bad for a first try, just keep cracking at it, and you'll get better. Better than mine, away. This would probably make a good 1-on-1 tourney map, especialy with railguns.
