I'm sorry to say this but ANOTHER f**kING JUNGLE MAP? I hate those, I know I did 2 of them my self, but back then I was a noob! I don't care about the map being either good or bad, the idea is just too easy to make. New ideas bring colour to the mapping community! Sab has spoken

Sometimes people need a little kick in the face to learn from their mistakes! PS: there's a funny name in Iceland: Mist Eik, pronounced mistake

I'm sorry to say this but ANOTHER f**kING JUNGLE MAP? I hate those, I know I did 2 of them my self, but back then I was a noob! I don't care about the map being either good or bad, the idea is just too easy to make. New ideas bring colour to the mapping community! Sab has spoken I don't fully agree with you here and think you are a bit rough on him, using certain CAPS words... Anyway. The problem is not the theme iself, especially not for Action Quake 2. That modification uses almost only real life scenarios/themes. What this map lack is probably something unique to make people remember it, or even want to download it. So I have to agree with Sabe, saying you have add something to make it stand out. We already have similar maps - Teamjungle, Jungle1, Dive, Junkke2, Rok. Why would we want to play your map? Just an example. Here is without any hesitation my favorite map for Action Quake 2: It sure doesn't look "wow" good, but like that matters... It's perfect without being perfect on all fields. Gameplay here is fantastic - fair, fast and fun. It really suits the game/mod cause it fully supports all its features. The map also have unique areas like the bridge, red cave, dark cave, star-shaped path/cave, camp tower, fence shaped mountain and more. These are things that the player remembers. I also have to agree with Flunx, saying that strider's map looks like Teamjungle, cause it really does. But I fully understand that people are inspired by that map, cause it has similar status as de_dust for Counterstrike.

The point is, I could take out my wally and export all the CS textures from de_dust to Q2. then QuArK up a map that looks just like dust or dust 2.. but no one would play it. 'Cause there are so very few of us left, and those of us that still play custom maps are really picky. At this point, we don't just crave originality; we need it, or we all get bored and Q2 goes poof into the ether.... never to be heard from again!
FYI ... never played teamjungle or any AQ2 maps... so feel free to ignore me, if you must.
