1) first, you make the door shootable. among the arguments for the door is a field "health", if you give this a value, the door will be a shootable door. you want it to open every time it is hit, so give it a low value. 1 is enough. but then the door will only open when it is shot and no longer in the usual way. to change this, give the door also a targetname, for example "arenadoor1" then place a trigger_multiple entity over the door, the brush applied to it should be as big as you want the door-opening trigger field to be. make the target for your trigger_multiple the doorname (arenadoor1) and you're done. you have a door which opens when shot and also acts like a normal Q2 door. 2) animated textures, how to use ? you use them by applying them to your brush, very much like any other texture. you create animated textures by defining the next animation frame within the texture. open the textures in your texture editor (Wally). let's say you want to animate 3 textures, anim1 - anim3 which are stored in textures\goth_sfx ( the texture path ). you would open them in wally and right click on them there, getting the properties menu. you would fill the following fields; for the first one: Texture Name : goth_sfx/anim1 and Next Animation Texture : goth_sfx/anim 2 So you write into every texture which one is the next in the animation sequence. ( you use a slash to enter the texture path within the texture, NOT a backslash !! ) I guess it it clear what to write in anim2 ? In anim3 you set the first one, goth_sfx/anim1, as the next texture, to make the circle closed .....

Grieve. I still have trouble with the animated texture You said that you use them by applying them to your brush, very much like any other texture. Why did i use the animated texture such as e1u1\+obtshoot1(offical texture), it look like a normal texture not a animated texture? what is wrong with me? Help me.

Does your editor not show the fields "ANIMATED" and "ANIMATED FAST" under the properties for the func_door, where you set the other stuff too ? You have to use either of these flags to make the texture animated on the door (Same for a func_wall). On func_plats and func_trains, animated textures will not work at all. Animations will also not work for transparent brushes.
