is there a way to get rid of the "out of bounds" look of an areaportal inside map?
also, im running on a really low end computer at the moment until i get mine up, and it does not do 3d stuff well. is there a function or command where i can inside q2 see the poly boundaries from outside map? maybe as wireframe?
normally to see the poly bounds you need to look at them in quark, but its really hard to see with all the lines on top of lines, and since the 3d window lags my comp down really bad, i have to review my detail work inside q2 (ie: texture alignment, etc)
even if i did have a high end comp working, i'd like to review and picture add-ons and things from inside q2 since its full screen and can operate doors n stuff.

I don't understand your areaportal question and I'm not sure if I understand your other question so maybe this will not help you. In Q2, pull down the console and enter 'gl_showtris 1' without the quotes to see the 'poly bounds'. I hope that gets you somewhere.
