the work on grievecon04_02a - the map formerly known as my contest map - continues. detailing takes much more time than stomping a basic layout out of the ground, therefore things slowed down a lot. it will easily take one month to make this a really noteworthy map. here are some shots of how it looks now.

I really like how this one is coming together! It has quite a smooth feel to it and I love the big open blue sky! I can't wait to try and play you guys on this when it's finished. There are a lot of spaces to build up some speed in, so this could end up being a really fast-paced fraggin map.

There are a lot of spaces to build up some speed in, so this could end up being a really fast-paced fraggin map. yeah, being a mover myself (at least in Q2) I am the first to feel uncomfortable when a map does not flow well. you find a lot of ramps here to gain speed. the neat blue sky is by Roger Ritenour, from one of his "Earth " episodes for Q2.

This map was started 2 hours before the first deadline, and was semi-completed in the following 3 days, in a manic burst of activity. m said himself that the fully finished product would have scored way better. it scored low because it was unfinished. time to finish it.

oh.. well.. just to be honest, I think you should do something with the mega_health room thingy thangy thongy thing.. because it's sooo big, and only one way to get in and out from the thingy thangy thongy room.. this end up with killing some of the so called speed you're talking about.. don't know if you like to have it that way.. but I think a dm map shouldn't have a room this big and with only one entrance.. however.. that's my opinion.. don't know what you other guys thinky thanky thonky think.. hehe..

A couple hallways can't hurt the flow.. as long as they actually go somewhere for a discernable reason.

I'm not putting your opinion down, I was just wondering about your newly adopted dialect, with it's odd vowel sounds and quasi-repetition. I'd never seen someone stutter in text before.
