Hey guys. Long time since I've been here. Good to see the place is still standin! If any1 remembers me I'm still making films in Q2, although now I produce a gaming news show too. We've been making some improvements to the show, one of them being the news reader. I hope she'll be Quake 2's sexiest woman, although these days that really doesn't mean much. If you look at her skirt and legs you will see that her rigging is not quite complete yet, and she doesn't yet have finger joints, but she's coming along great (yes, I drool while I work). I was wondering if anyone here still maps enough to maybe offer some mapping help. The idea is that we have a variety of maps to keep the show looking fresh. Also, I'm willing to pay some pennies, but only pennies (about $15(US) per map if it's great) though really, I know nobody here does it for the money. Experience with Lazarus would be much preffered, but perhaps not necessary. Mostly I use Quake 2 cause I still find it muchos fun, and I really hope I can still share that with some other Quake 2 fans. Anyway Hope you find the new news reader model (Her name is Lady Mainframe) sexy, and I hope you'll check out the new show when it's done.

PS, it's not in Vanilla Quake 2, but a modified version (EGL). I hope that's not a problem here. I'm sure many of you agree that to have mass appeal, the show can't stay within all of Q2's boundries (like the colour pallete for example).

Wow. That was a very fast response. I havent really posted pics of the model around yet, so I'm not yet used to the attention, hehe. Lady Mainframe will prolly have a hard time adjusting too. The old model was kinda granny-like.
Thanks to all for the welcome back. It's really great here, and I hope I'll spend more time here too. I'll always love Quake 2.
Grieve, the maps are mostly urban stylee. We don't really do Quake 2 style maps so much anymore (although I think we will have atleast one for the show, to remind people of the good old days).
So when I say Urban style, I mean kinda like actionquake maps. However, since the Quake 2 bsp isn't so good at doing mad shapes we put in lots of models (static mesh style) using Lazarus.
If anyone doesn't use Lazarus what we might do is just get them to make the basic shapes in Q2, which we later model and replace.
As for making her a ppm, we'll see. Right now it's not on the cards, but nothing's impossible!
EDIT: And yes, I have msn. My addy is true_p1mp[at]hotmail.com (replace "[at]" with @) ;D
