I know some of you have seen this already but I thought I'd post it here as you don't all travel to 'other' forums. Animated transparent textures are not possible in vanilla Q2, unless you're a genius like me Here's an example of a technique using timed func_walls, map file included. Transparent Animation Example

cool. its like making a stop animation film. same concept. sorry, but i'm not that impressed.
however, i will say it is innovative.
