OK, this map I am working isn't going in the comp (still don't know if I will be yet), but I need some help with it. I am new to the DM way of mapping, and this map was going to be an SP, but I decided to convert it to DM. So far it's been a case of stripping fancy brushwork out and letting the textures do the talking in certain places, to save compile time, and I've managed to get the VIS to compile on fast again, which is good for me, as it means I can test it quickly when I make changes. It's not a huge map compared to others I've made, but the areas are linked with teleporters, which I am trying to setup to get a bit of flow in terms of where you reappear after you step into one. The maps flow in general isn't that generous, which is something I will need to work on in my next map, which, hopefully WILL go in the comp should I decide to join. I just feel like the map is lacking a room or two, but my mapping style has developed to have a lot of brush work in it, where as other mappers' styles have a less-is-more approach in it, which is what I am trying to achieve, but I really think this map needs another room. Guess what I am asking is, should I scrap it now and start from scratch, or send it to someone to have a run around in so I can get an idea of whether or not it's a keeper? Any takers? Wow, bit of work to do....Thanks X7 Does it flow well? even with out the teleporters being used? That's one of the major things I need to know about. Brush work is easily fixed, but structural and game flow mean major work.

Yes the flow is good.l
One way to check the game play of a map is to use bots.
Gladiator Bot for Quake2 with the OSP Tourney mod. Just have to make the *.ass file for the map.

Yeah Paril, it's so they don't do any unecessary crap, hehe, you know, ass - crap... Anyways...thanks for the news its a good map X7...I am gonna restructure a few areas to reduce R_Speeds and build some new parts as well.
