Results of the Quake 2 Cafe's 3rd Mapping Contest

Sooo, curious about the results, aren't we ?

The judging was done quite carefully, and hopefully it was fair. I think it was. The winner is yun with his very nice yundm1. Congrats yun.

Funnily enough, there was obviously the most agreement about yun's map among the judges. The view of the other maps seems to differ. You just can't exclude personal preferences completely.



Personally I feel like this contest was a success. Even though only three maps were finally judged, three maps are better than no maps.
I'd like to thank everyone who supported this event in any way. Thanks folks. We are Quake 2 ! It's up to us to keep it alive and kicking.

Thanks you all for this contest, it was a very fun. I'm not home this week, but I will download the other maps as soon as possible. I can't wait. Thank you again and long life to Q2 café... C'est un joli nom en passant (it's a nice name by the way!)
