It's been a fun side-project, brings back old days, and with bots it's perfect. Little afraid to release it though.. for obvious reasons

I already suspected these dudes were bots. Hope you will continue the development of the bot AI in an own mod ? Q2 is in need for a new bot.

It's actually JaBOT, probably the most versatile bot available for Quake2.

What engine are you modifying for the models to be displayed as each game's version based on player class? That is obviously a client-side effect.

They look like Quake2 should look like to me. Plain and simple. Using Jim's latest high res texture pack. The video compression definitely doesn't help.. just be glad I didn't play on q2dm1, my other videos looked horrible there after uploading to YouTube.
Also, my gl_modulate is like 13, which explains the uber-brightness in some areas that should be pitch black. I got used to playing it like that on my CRT and I haven't been able to adjust to Quake2 in dark settings.
