I've had a look at it. Clean, simple map, I guess the layout could be fun for some 3-6 player FFA, it's clearly not aimed at serious games. I like the elevator from lower level to the tight RG area. Should lead to lots of rocket and grenade spam into that room as soon as people hear the elevator sound. > (On a side note: I don't like the texture in the RG room too much, reminds me of a rest room or something.) The map could use some more details and more sophisticated lighting in a few places, but it doesn't look bad at all. The item placement could use some work imo, you got that one room stuffed with BA, QUAD and CG - this is too much imo. Apart from that, the room is very tight and not a spot that's interesting to fight in. I'd suggest to move at least one of these items to the central atrium (see below). Going to the lower level (the corridors surrounding the central pit that holds RL) really doesn't make much sense atm because nothing of interest is there. The ledge in the central atrium holding SG atm (see screenie) seems to be pretty hard to reach and it seems made to hold something far more powerful - you should move the BA or even the QUAD (if you want to keep it on the map) there imo!

I like the textures in these hallways This hole could be bigger as it's difficult to drop down - you have to move slowly. I really liked the blue room! The upper floor provides ascent to the lowers walls. I felt the dark areas were too dark, consider using the _ambient_light flag. I could not figure out how to get into this room. - Mike

I really liked the map. The only thing that I thought could use some work is the position of the spawns. Otherwise, it is laid out for a great deal of fun. There's a rocket pit, rail corridors and some trick jumps. It also has the added bonus of camping spots and some unique ways to access various items. I imagine that gameplay will not be unlike city3, which is an absolute blast on the tastyspleen.net:vanilla server. I uploaded it to the FTP as is. Just waiting for it to by synced. Oh I'll throw it up on my server tonight. Keep forgetting that that is why I made the server to begin with.

I really appreciate you guys checking out my map. In reply to some of your posts, I have always felt that the lower level was a bit empty, just could not think of anything that would spice it up without wrecking the look. I also do realize some areas are very dark but did not want to do universal lighting. The shadows and individual lights give it a nice look. I may add more lights. The stairs to the chaingun room are in the dark room at the top of the lower level ladder. You can also get there through a door on main floor. I purposely wanted that area dark, but maybe its too dark if you didnt see the stairs. My brightness is all the way up in quake2 settings so.. Also, I have made other maps. I am most proud of this one and a mostly finished map named Acid Smoothie. Acid Smoothie actually hosted some serious 2v2 matches back in the end of zone days between clans like 1MIND, Scar, Tz, and some other less recognized q2 clans. If you are interested, I suggest giving Acid Smoothie a try. It is not complete. There are many cosmetic things that need finishing but the main functional ideas of the map are there. You can find this map on 1mgs.com just go to the archives section of the site, and then to quake2. Once again, I really do appreciate you guys checking out my map. It's nice to know ones effort isn't wasted. : ) O and, whatsup Peewee and Wixen. I seem to remember you guys from back in the day. I rolled like this on the zone _1MIND_Tear777

Man, Iam sorry.. but dont remember you tear777, it must be 10 years since I hosted Quake2 on my servers on the Zone. Gee, I do remember the time though.. . Anyway, it is nice you found us at last. -W1
