it's a weapon - mod for SP or DM. they also planned to add a bot, but they didn't finish it. there is a tech demo (eda_install.exe), that shows off a preview of the bot match, but unfortunaltely it doesn't seem to work under win 7 .... Attachment Deleted

no no no. Windows 7 refuses to work with it.. That's such an "Upgrade' if it doesn't UPgrade , huh!? I'm a advocate against Windows 7/8/9 ? wtf? lol They lied to all of us and Windows XP should always be an option and force them to support it for life! Well that's a shame of no bot. I found some lost BOTS (Among other files) like the Bastardbot, Adion and some other goodies. Thanks for clearing up the Entron stuff. Its a bummer when you find something and either the files are gone or in this case project unfinished.. *sighs*

I didn't see it in the Telefragged downloads. If it's another 16-bit installer that doesn't work, that's just how the cookie crumbles on 64-bit OSes- they can no longer run 16-bit code, because AMD's x86-64 ISA doesn't support segmented addressing (among other things) in long (64-bit) mode. Microsoft is not at fault for this issue. If somebody could strip the installer, it could likely be made to work. At least the mod's source is available so it can be ported to KMQuake2 and Q2 clients on other OSes.

Again _ win ANOTHER unspoken argument AGAINST 64BS (oops- "bit).. ANYONE can and everyone SHOULD Switch to the 32bit of their OS. I will get you the darn DL if you don't have it. I HIGHLY doubt anyone is running Autocad 2014 in here and 'needs' 4gb of RAM at all times with 90% of CPU usage. Keep in mind we need to be keep to run 16 and 32 when dealing with older programs. You could also DUAL BOOT Windows 7 x86 and 64bit. I just stay on XP and EVERYTHING runs fine. Yeah- about that file that was mentioned..?

Games that require a 64-bit OS and >4GB of ram are already around the corner. EDIT: I got the installer stripped: eda_demo.zip (10.5 MB). The demo itself runs fine on Win7 64-bit. Having to reboot just to run an old 16-bit installer is a major PITA. It's simpler to just have an old laptop with XP sitting around to run the installer, and then copy the installed files back to your main rig. But what would really be helpful is an unpacker utility that unpacks the self-extractor part of these old installers, and substitutes a compatible 32-bit installer. Here's a guide I found for working around these problems: www.reactos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=10988

I understand this but all of this topic surrounds "Quake 1" and Quake 2 16 and 32 bit software compatibility. I mean as far as all of this goes. Sounds like someone has been Uhm.. Well... Dam.. ? No ideas where I was going with this... I just like the Smilies Leray Added !!
