Alright, so I've got a shootable button linked to a door and it seems to work fine. The door only opens when the button is shot. However, the door always starts in the open position when I enter the map (it's a DM map). Since behind the door is a secret area, it's a bit lame seeing the door close and spoiling the surprise of what's behind it as soon as you load in.
I've tried everything I can think of but no matter what, I can't get the door to start in the closed position. Any ideas? I just want the door to start closed and remain closed until the button is shot. The door should then open, wait a few seconds, then close again and wait for the button to be shot again. How can I do that?
p.s. I'm using GtkRadiant v1.4.

I figured out the problem. Instead of using a trigger_always, I needed to use a trigger_multiple entity. The door now works properly.

Why are you using a trigger_multiple in between the func_button and func_door? Is this just to add a delay? If so, you should use a trigger_relay, which doesn't use a brush model. Every brush model uses up a model index slot, and vanilla Q2 only has 255 of these.
