Trenchbroom Shortcuts Cheatsheet

Learning from a video helps a lot. Starting at 3 min, the following video goes over some useful shortcuts:
Camera Controls
Rotate Camera: Right-click drag to turn camera
Orbit camera around a brush: Select a brush, Alt Right-Click and drag to rotate camera around the selected object
Pan View: middle click drag
Zoom in and out: scroll middle mouse button
Brush Operations
Create a brush: left click drag
Select a brush: left click on a brush
Clear selection: left click on empty space, do this before creating a new brush also
Select Brushes: Hold Ctrl and left click on brushes you want to select
Multi-select brushes: Select a brush, while holding control, click on empty space and drag across brushes you want to multi-select (doesn't work in V2)
Select touching: Create a brush and move it so it touches / overlaps all the brushes you want to multi select. Ctrl-T to commit selection. Note: your temp brush will be deleted.
Select Faces: Hold Shift and left click on faces you want to select. You can assign textures to selected faces by double clicking on textures under the "Face" tab
Move a brush horizontally: Select a brush, Left click and drag to move it side to side
Move a brush vertically: Select a brush, then hold Alt and left click drag on the brush to move it up and down
Lock horizontal move axis: Tab cycles the move axis locking for x or y, Icon in the lower left corner highlights the locked axis
Rotate a brush: Select a brush, click R to enter rotate mode
Duplicate a brush: Select a brush, Ctrl Left click drag the brush
Extrude a face: Select a brush, hold Shift and move mouse around the object until you see corresponding faces light up
White faces indicate the active selection, so while still holding shift you can left click and drag mouse to extrude lit faces.
Brush Clipping
Split Brush: Select a brush, click C to activate clipping mode, which will turn your brush yellow.
When brush clipper is enabled you'll see a white point indicating where you'll add a split. Clicking adds more split points. For simple splits click just once and press enter to commit the operation.
Finalize the cut: At any time press enter
Undo a cut: Ctrl-Z
Cycle clipping selection: While in Clipping mode, Ctrl-Enter will cycle the part that will be kept, there's also a mode just to split a brush in two and keep both sides.
Vertex - Face - Edge - Modes
Move Vertex, Face or Edge: Select a brush, click V to enter vertex mode.
Dragging a point in the corner drags a vertex.
Dragging a point in the center of a face drags a face.
Dragging a point in the center of a line drags the edge.
While in Vertex mode, you can hold down Ctrl to select more than one vertex.
Note: Dragging faces and edges is quite stable. Dragging vertexes while severely deforming brushes can result in a crash
Grid size increase / decrease: ctrl-plus(+) / ctrl-minus(-)
Undo: Ctrl-Z
Redo: Ctrl-Y
