[It's a long one]
OK, here is where I will show you guys some of the films I have released over the years. Some of these films (the older ones) were just made by me, and the later ones where made with the help of my current team.
Yes, this site seems to be full of mappers, and some of you may think this post is out of place here, but put it this way, I made all the maps in the films (apart from the Edge) so atleast SOME part of it will tickle your fancy.
First, Life on the edge.
binarypictureshow.com/site/staticpages/index.php?page=20040210173542784
Probably the most popular among the Quake 2 munnity. If you havent watched it, please do. It comes in 3 forms.
first the exe. This installs the film in your Quake 2 folder and aytomatucally decompresses the sound files. It also has a swanky menu to help you run the film very easily.
Some people don't like downloadin exe's so theres s zip version too, but you have to decompress the sound yourself, and the film runs via a batch file, and not a swanky menu.
Lastly there are video versions, but they were captured a very long time ago, so are bad quality.

Bouncer Please, Episode 1
binarypictureshow.com/site/staticpages/index.php?page=20040211003507106
This is the most basic, and simple looking of the Bouncer Please shorts, however, it's popularity definately didnt suggest it. This was the first film I made using the Lazarus mod, and was the first Quake 2 film ever to be released along with the Quake2 engine (meaning people who didn't have Q2 would use the engine provided with the film to watch it). It now only exists in video form now (DIVX) since most people didn't understand/ didn't like the idea of a film coming in exe form. This film has been in PC Gamer, and PC Zone UK magazine, and a clip of it was recently shown on G4tech TV's 'The Screensavers'. It also attracted the talent that makes up my current team.
The film is NOT set in the Quake 2 Universe, and is a comedy sketch, not action film.
The film is done in a mockney accent, so if english isn't you're first language, u may find it a bit difficult to understand, but download it anyway .

Dragons
binarypictureshow.com/site/staticpages/index.php?page=20040211234010596
A Kung-fu style film. Lots of action, and was pretty much where I learned how to animate (as in learned from my mistakes). At some parts the animation is good, at some points not so good, But you may never see better hand to hand fighting in a Quake 2 film (apart from in Bouncers, scroll down). Has music that was custom composed for it, and was nominated for best sound, and best writing in the Machnima awards some years ago.

Bouncer Please episodes 2 & 3

The larger part of my team had been formed at this point, and I'm sure u can se from the pictures, that major progress was made in terms of graphics. By this time we had refined our own Quake 2 engine quite a bit (called Binary EGL, since based on EGL code).
We have had so much success with these, as they have been shown in numerous festivals around the world now and were both in PC GAMER UK magazine in September 2004.
We are now making a full film based on the shorts, called 'Bouncers', which has a teaser (below).

Bouncers (teaser)
binarypictureshow.com/site/staticpages/index.php?page=20041027070930952
All the things I have learned over the years from my past films, and the team that makes up Binary Picture Show now means that we can make this kick ass film. If you only download one of these films, check out this teaser. It is 100 time bigger than Bouncer Please, and a whole differnt experience (at least it will be when the whole film is done). Whats more, it's only 5MB.
----------------------
I now have plans to make some more films set in the Quake 2 universe, and your thoughts on that are appeciated. I know this is really a place that focuses on maps, but this is realy the last big Quake 2 audience that I know of.
Thanks.
