knightmare : Any chance that you will add your KMQuake2 additions to the Quake 2 rerelease?

I'm currently busy working on several of my own new features for KMQ2. Those will be finished before I seriously look at adding anything from the remaster. So no firm plans yet. knightmare : Any chance that you will add your KMQuake2 additions to the Quake 2 rerelease? That's not how that works. Nightdive's developers write all their own code. They don't use anything from GPLed Q2 engine projects.

You can contact them directly at the nightdive discord, they are really talking about a lot of stuff, also Sponge at quake discord is opening alot about the code. They know about kmq2's improvements. Yamagi is working now on porting everything into their source port. Also, that Oblivion reverse engineering may be needed now, and maybe the likes of unseen, Jug's source code if its still out here and other maps. the new improvements Really healped a lot, even with map size limits and more, its is pretty much what Q1 can do and more.

I have looked over both the Remaster's engine feature overview and the documentation of its game DLL and API changes. I've even discussed several of the Remaster's changes with Paril.
The Remaster's enhancements largely overlap with many of the features I plan to add to KMQ2 in the future. Its release will not substantially alter my plans for future KMQ2 releases. While I can't promise that I will add any specific or all additions from the Remaster, I will take a serious look at each one.
I'm currently in the midst of a major feature addition to KMQ2. I am not going to just set aside that addition to race against other Q2 source port developers to add as many features as possible from the Remaster. In other words, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
In the mean time, I encourage everyone here to discuss the Remaster and creating maps for it in the News & General Discussion and Quake 2 Mapping Central subfoums.
Anyone with additional questions regarding this matter can PM me.
