Haha.
Yeah, it gives the game a bit of a new feel.

Version 3 is done! All first person models are done with the exception of the hand grenades.
Have fun.

The vweap models are *excellent*. Few possible tweaks though, mostly concerning model size\distance: The blaster seems a little farther out than the original, but not too much. Shotgun+ssg = perfect I actually kinda like the larger size of the mg; it makes it feel a little more beefy. The chaingun definitely is too squat\snubbed. Some elongation should fix this. Gren launcher might be a little far out, but again, it's cool. Rocketlauncher = awesome. I would just like to demolish the animation when switching to it of a rocket loading in. That always seemed buggy to me. The hyperblaster seems to take up more of the screen now, but I'm not too worried. Same deal with the bfg - but stretching it out more shows off some more of the detail. All in all this is shaping up to be one of the best model... mods I've ever seen.

Same deal with the bfg - but stretching it out more shows off some more of the detail. All in all this is shaping up to be one of the best model... mods I've ever seen. Blaster is exact size as original. Might be the skin that's making it look like that. Shotgun and Super Shotgun look perfect to me too, but the SSG needs to be positioned more downwards (you can see the missing part of the hand, if that makes any sense). Chaingun is the exact same size as the normal chaingun. Grenade Launcher is again the same size as the normal one. You know why the RL is so buggy? The normal model for it was really messed. when you took it out, it has three rockets. during idle frames, it only has two rockets (one is already loaded in). When you fire, you again have three rockets, one goes through, and then gets moved back to the end of the chamber, and then goes to idle frames where you have two rockets again. Very buggy.. I just did something simple, haha. It's interpolation that makes things like this hard to accomplish. Hyperblaster takes up a tad bit more, but at the same time it takes up less because the barrel is smaller. I just noticed a mistake I made: the metal thing holding the barrel isn't supposed to spin, . I'll fix that in V4. The BFG is bigger, that's a given. I ran into the problem when messing with the g_ model. Go to q2dm8, turn noclip on and go to the BFG. Watch it go through the wall. Hope this gives a little more insight. (Note: I just want to say that when I animated the SG, I thought it was going to look crappy as hell. First time I tested it: EXACTLY HOW I WANTED IT! That's the first re-model that I got perfect on the first try ) Recon is working on them. He's adding new hands and doing a whole new animation from scratch. I'm very curious as to what he has in store for us

Will this ever include high quality versions of the players/monsters as well?
