If you look at standard games and modifications today, you take note of the great, realistic and/or sci-fi sounds that are played. In reality, only 36% of a game is made up of sounds. In this small mod called Mouth Quake, it's 100% made up of sounds. Introducing Mouth Quake, a small 30 minute project made by James and I. We replaced EVERY sound in Quake2 with ones we made ourselves, with only our mouthes and amplification if needed. For some sounds, we did some mixing with different mouth sounds to create a more oldish-effect. For an example of this, see Makron's spine.wav below. We had fun making it and you'll have fun listening to all of the monster and weapon sounds we made. We won't tell you who did what; figure it out yourself Comparison, just so you can see (I made this one. Three sounds of me put together ) Extract to your Quake2 directory. Fire up Quake2, and "game mouth". Old: paril.gaminggalaxy.net/spine.wavMe: paril.gaminggalaxy.net/new_spine.wavparil.gaminggalaxy.net/Mouth%20Quake2.rarparil.gaminggalaxy.net/Mouth%20Quake2.zip-Paril

Reminds me of a project I did together with a friend quite a few years ago (we were in the 9th grade or sth like that). We replaced all the sounds of DooM with self-made sounds wrapped up in a wad-file, but all of them were very ridiculous. It was never publically released but I was lmao when I found it on my HDD a few years later and gave it a try.
And I remember that it was great fun making the sounds in front of a 5$ mic plugged into the 386 PC. ;-)
The project was called 'Dumm', the german word for stupid, that is pronounced similar to Doom.
